Multi-cycle replication of H6 avian influenza viruses in A549 cells. A549 monolayers were inoculated with virus at a MOI of 0.01, and the culture supernatants were collected at the indicated time points and then titrated in eggs.

Expression of pro-inflammatory factors (IL-6 and IL-8), antiviral cytokines (IFN-α and IFN-β), an anti-inflammatory cytokine (IL-10) and a pathogen recognition receptor (TLR7) in CEFs and DEFs. Monolayer cells were collected at 0, 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 36 h after infection. For each cytokine, the expression data were normalized to GAPDH expression. The column data were calculated by -△△Ct. The results are presented as the mean fold change±SD. Error bars represent standard error.
